Someone with no scruples could easily have fixed the real problem, which was broken sensor, and also charged for a motor that wasn't the real issue. All I was charged was the call out charge. We recently had an electric sliding gate installed by Secure21 and are absolutely delighted with both the result and the service. We originally approached several companies for quotations. Whilst Secure21 were not the cheapest, we were immediately impressed by their knowledge, responsiveness, communication and willingness to answer questions. Given the cost, and the fact it formed part of a wider house renovation project, we had to postpone the work whilst we saved for it. Almost 14 months later, we got back in touch and Mike revisited the project and provided an updated quotation. There was a modest increase in price, but looking at the finished installation, we're very pleased we didn't make our decision based solely on cost. From start to finish, communication from Linzi and Mike was excellent, and the workmanship has been first class. The amount of digging involved was considerable, and much of the work was carried out during one of the hottest spells of the year, yet the team worked tirelessly throughout. Having had less-than-stellar experiences with some trades in the past, I naturally had a few questions and concerns during the installation. What impressed me most was the way these were handled. The team always took the time to explain their approach and were more than happy to make adjustments where appropriate. At no point did I feel dismissed, and that openness inspired confidence throughout the project. The young men, Harrison and Taylor, who carried out the installation are an absolute credit to both their parents and the company. Their attitude, work ethic, courtesy and professionalism were exceptional. In an age where "good enough" often seems to have become the accepted standard, it was genuinely refreshing to meet tradespeople who clearly take real pride in their work. The finished gate looks fantastic, operates beautifully and has transformed the entrance to our property. We are so impressed with the standard of work and service that we fully intend to invite Secure21 back to quote for our alarm and CCTV system. The gate took three days, with one day taken with the electrics. Both the boys stayed late until they completed the first phase and then worked solidly until they finished the job. The installation wasn't the easiest and there was some seriously difficult digging out to do in the recent torrential rain but it was all done with a smile and no complaints.
